I had pretty high expectations going to see the Blue Man Group and they were not all met. There were some great parts, but there were a few segments that were kind of slow and took a long time to develop. Overall I give it a 3 out of 5 Star rating.
I have seen the Blue Man Group three times. Once in Chicago, once in Las Vegas and once on tour.
Out of the three the performance of the one at the theatre in Chicago was the best. The Las Vegas one was good too, but the tour lost some of the magic.
The one in Chicago was awesome because it is a smaller more inmate then the other two. Also since they have a long term lease on the theatre and they are they only ones that performer there they made the space all theirs.
The one in Vegas was great it was back when they used to be at the Luxor. So I can't say anything about their new digs Venetian. But this show was most special to be because I proposed to my wife back stage after the show with the cast and crew.
The tour I feel is still good but loses some of the magic. So I recommend if you see them go to one of their base theatres in Chicago, New York, Las Vegas, Boston, or Orlando.
Saw BMG in Chicago for the 1st time. Theater is small and every seat is a good seat. Their performance was awesome -- such creativity!! This 3 man group is adept at musical and acting skills. Their facial expresssions "speak" volumes. The crew and additional musicians concocted segment after segment of "colorful" entertainment. There is no intermission -- show lasts for about 2 hrs. Children (ages 10 and up) as well as adults are kept in rapt attention, looking forward as to what the group will do next. BMG interacts well with audience and selects a couple of people to go on stage with them -- this makes the show even more hilarious. Tickets arent't cheap, but you certainly get your money's worth! Go to see them at least once!
