As the last post was written I very much agree, You dont hear much of san antonio there for you would'nt think to expect much of their Bowl Game, But let me put it in terms understood by lts say...previous alamo bowl alumni. ESPN intrviewed several collage students and asked them If Their program wasn't going to a champ. bowl where would they prefer, and the over all major. said san antonios Alamo Bowl. I also think San Antonios New Years bash has alot to do with it. All I have to say is Im glad I was one of the first to experience their Bowl first in the ninties and last year, and Ill probably try to head back down to the S.A. Alamo Bowl this winter as well especially for their climate.and this time im taking several of my friends with me. Note:Being that that they have now moved up in the Bowl pecking order they are now choosing 2nd from the PAC-10 as well as the BIG 12. Well, see you there..........

What an experience! What spirit, what emotions! What memories I shall always have.
I've been to the Alamobowl twice and both times had a great time. The Alamodome is located in the heart of San Antonio's Riverwalk, which means that there are great restaurants and bars surrounding the stadium. That means there is always lots of fun stuff to do pregame and postgame. For pregame check out Celebration Station just steps from the Dome, there will be plenty of fans, drinks, food and good times. Postgame I recommend trying The Original Mexican Restaurant just a few steps down the Riverwalk.
The game itself always is exciting - some of the best bowl games in past 10 years have been at the Alamobowl. Go see the Alamobowl, its a great bowl game.
