At the end of July, Boston was scheduled for MLB's 2nd All-Star game of the summer. The big attraction for me was that Red Sox rookie don Schwall was going to be pitching for the AL squad. I got a bleacher seat in CF (for $2 !!) and watched Rocky colavito hit a pop fly into the net for a 1-0 AL lead. Schwall did pitch, but loaded the bases and then gave up an rbi single to Willie Mays. At the end of 9, a light sprinkle started and the players bolted off the field. This was the first tie ever in All-Star history !
