Although the game didn't provide the outcome we wanted, the TicketCity Bowl is a first class event! We had fun from the moment we got to Dallas through the end of the game. It was our first time to the Cotton Bowl stadium - what history and tradition. Fun times.

My husband and I attended the inaugural 1st TicketCity Bowl. The experience was easy and enjoyable. It was also great to see Texas Tech beat Northwestern. We would definitely go back!

Ticket City Bowl Review

Date:January 3, 2011
My dealings with Ticket City while purchasing the tickets was outstanding. However, this is a game review and I was very disappointed with my game experience. The stadium announcer was horrific. Our whole section was making jokes about it. As a professional announcer myself, it was mind boggling that the bowl chose him as a stadium announcer. We were in section 6 (50 yard line) and were getting blown out by the speakers. We ended up moving to the upper deck just to get away from being blasted out by the speakers. The tickets were way over priced for a Tier 3 bowl. Those of us that are loyal to our universities will pay the price, but the low attendence can be blamed for ticket pricing being to high. They should have made tickets available to students of the universities around $5 to draw them to the game. I would have had family packages available also. Tickets, parking, hamburger, and drink for a low price of around $100 for a family of four. The marketing plan for this event needs strong re-evaluation.

TicketCity Bowl not as good as the service

Date:January 4, 2012
As always, TicketCity was helpful and quick on getting me the tickets for the event. Unfortunately, the event itself could not match the sponsor's quality level.
The game itself was very entertaining, as Houston's high-powered offense and speedy defense made up for the lack of production from Penn State.
The real issue is the limitations of the Cotton Bowl Stadium itself. We had seats near the field, and the PA system had a horrible echo problem which made everything difficult to understand. As the weather got colder, we moved up about 20 rows and discovered that the speakers were so loud that you could barely hear yourself think.
One other issue, especially for those above average in height...the seats are REALLY cramped. I'm 6'3" and it was impossible for me to squeeze my legs into my seating area. Luckily the stadium was far from capacity, so it was easy to move up or down a row and find plenty of space.
If next year's game features a good matchup like Houston/Penn State, I'd probably consider attending again. I would definitely be more prepared for the limitations of the stadium next time around...

TicketCity Bowl was a great way to start 2011

Date:February 14, 2011
The 2011 TicketCity Bowl was the first football game played in the new year, and hopefully every other game will be as good. The game was a blowout in the 1st half, but turned into a nail biter in the 2nd half with Northwestern barely falling to Texas Tech 45-38.
What else could you ask for in a game? Played in the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium on New Years Day between two great football teams; a high scoring game that comes down to the final possession. The only thing missing from the crowd that day was a little warmer weather, because it was a cold morning.
A big reason to see the TicketCity Bowl is the Cotton Bowl, which is one of the most legendary stadiums in college football. Another is a chance to see a Big 10 program playing down here in Texas. Plus the ticket prices are less than that of most other bowl games.

TicketCity Bowl

Date:January 6, 2011
The price for the tickets were very reasonable considering that I did not pay face value, which I felt was too high for an inaugural bowl and both teams being one game over .500. The venue is an excellant and historic venue. The tickets arrived in plenty of time, although I don't understand why they went from Austin, TX to Memphis, TN to my home less than 300 miles north of Austin, TX.

Great Game!!!

Date:June 22, 2011
Being able to attend an inaugural event is always a great time, and this game did not dissappoint. Both teams had great offenses so there was plenty of excitement. We plan on making this an annual thing for our family, make sure to bring warm clothes because at kick off it was cold and windy, but by halftime the weather was just fine.

Outstanding Service

Date:January 4, 2012
My recent ticket order for the 2012 Ticket City Bowl in Dallas was handled in a VERY PROFESSIONAL manner - mailing of tickets directly to my home - WE had a GREAT TIME at a wonderful 'old' Cotton Bowl site in Fair Park, except for the final score !
THANKS Y'ALL !

Great game. I'm glad the Cotton Bowl will still have a bowl game played in it, since it lost the Cotton Bowl Classic.
